Itinerary

The itinerary is kept somewhat flexible so we can adjust for weather and group interests. The itinerary below is just an example of what you can expect.

Day 1 (Thursday, Sept. 5):

  • Meet in Jackson at 12:00pm. We’ll head out together from here for a scenic introductory day hike to discuss basic photography principles.

  • Car camp at a beautiful location with Teton views where we’ll cook a meal together and practice capturing lifestyle imagery in a camp setting.

Day 2 (Friday, Sept. 6):

  • Wake up early to shoot sunrise followed by a camp breakfast.

  • Drive to a trailhead where we will begin hiking to a backcountry location for an overnighter in the mountains.

  • Backpack a few miles in to camp where we will have time to practice what we’ve learned so far.

  • Cook dinner at camp followed by a night photography lesson for those interested.

Day 3 (Saturday, Sept. 7):

  • Wake up early to shoot sunrise (or sleep in if you prefer!), have breakfast at camp, and head out for a quick day hike.
